Anderson Silva's domination of the middleweight division has made it difficult to predict who he will face next. Though his opponents have been the best of the best, Silva hardly seemed challenged.

Silva, however, knows who he would like to face next: Roy Jones, Jr.

No, the boxer will not be stepping into the cage; Silva would be stepping into the ring. Though rumors of Silva's desire to test his skills in boxing have been circulating the internet, we have not had official confirmation until today.

"Anderson really would love to fight Roy Jones, Jr. in a boxing match," Ed Soares, Silva's manager, told MMA Weekly. "It’s not just talk, we really would like to put that fight together."

Silva, according to MMA Weekly, wants to prove that mixed martial artists are just as technicals as boxers.

"We respect Jones’ boxing ability and think he’s one of the best, but we’re tired of different boxers saying that MMA fighters aren’t technical," Soares said. "Anderson would love to fight Roy Jones in a boxing match under boxing rules to prove that MMA fighters are technical, too."

While this match-up would be interesting, we do not have any comment from Zuffa on whether or not Silva's contract would even permit such a fight.
