MMAMania.com has confirmed Joe Stevenson vs. Gleison Tiabu at UFC 86 on July 5 in Las Vegas.
 
Stevenson is coming off a loss to BJ Penn at UFC 80 and Tiabu is coming off a loss to Tyson Griffin at UFC 81.
The card will be headlined Quinton Jackson vs. Forrest Griffin.
Middleweight bout Ricardo Almedia vs. Patrick Cote will take place at UFC 86 on July 5th. TapouT is having a warehouse sale at their warehouse in Grand Torrance, CA on 21800 Barton Rd.

The Ultimate Fighter season 8 try outs will be in Boston on 4/10/08 and will audition Lightweight and Light Heavyweight fighters. Auditions start at 9:00am at Sheraton Boston Hotel, 390 Dalton Street, Boston, MA.

Don't forget WEC 33 will air LIVE tomorrow night on VERSUS at 9:00pm with the headline fight being Doug Marshall defending he WEC Light Heavyweight title against Brian Stann. UFC Veteran Kevin Jordan posted on thread on the underground that he wants to fight Kimbo Slice on EliteXC's CBS show on 5/31/08. As of right now EliteXC is not going to risk their cash cow losing and they sure don't want him to lose on their biggest show what could be the biggest show in American MMA. Fighters such Butterbean and Paul Buentello have also publicly challenged Kimbo.

Both would be interesting fight. However both fighters would KO Kimbo quickly and that is a risk EliteXC is not willing to take. In recent months the Dana White, Tito Ortiz feud has heated up in the media with both men insulting each other at every turn. Among the insults Dana has hurled out he has also called Ortiz and his girlfriend Jenna Jameson a "moron" which has caused Jameson to respond on her myspace blog.

Jake Shields is off Saturday night's Strikeforce show where he was to defend his Elite XC welterweight title against Drew Fickett. No details other than an injury. Also, it is now 100% that they won't be able to get Evangelista "Cyborg" Santos into the country in time to go through weigh-ins and get all his medicals taken care of, so they need a new opponent for Joe Villasenor.
