UFC 57 – Liddle Vs Couture 3DVD Review by Gary Graham 

Witness legendary UFC fighters Chuck “The Iceman” Liddell and Randy “The Natural” Couture meet up in the Octagon as UFC 57: Liddell VS Couture 3 hits the shelves on the 5thJune 2006. Live from Las Vegas, Nevada, this much anticipated DVD stages the third fight between Liddell and Couture, where their fight history shows one victory each. Both fighters are forced to test their skills, throwing punches, grappling and struggling back onto their feet so that one may successfully win the light heavyweight title. In addition to the main event, this incredible DVD features some of the best names in UFC such as Andrei ‘The Pit Bull’ Arlovski and Frank Mir.

The UFC continue to bring the best in Mixed Martial Arts action and the hype of this show was unreal and did not disappoint fight fans from around the globe. 

FightDVD.co.uk have released this latest Pay Per View on a single DVD. 

The DVD is packed full of the evenings action with a monster Main Event of the re-match of Chuck Liddell & Randy Couture.  The DVD features some prelim matches not seen on the Pay Per View and this made for some interesting viewing as most of the guys were making their UFC debut. 

The main event match which was a light heavyweight title match between Randy ‘The Natural’ Couture vs Chuck ‘The Iceman’ Liddell (Champion) is the match saw Couture being defeated by KO in the first round and led to the retirement announcement of the MMA & UFC veteran Randy Couture.  The match refereed by ‘Big’ John McCarthy  started off with both fighters trying to feel each other out, looking for that first devastating punch. 2 minutes in and both fighters still sizing each other up. 

Chuck Liddell makes a few small contact strikes, enough to shake and open up Randy Couture’s defensive stance. Randy delivers a couple of hard punches and shakes Chuck Liddell.  Both fighters tied up on the edge of the cage.  Randy Couture bleeding heavy above the left eye and nose. The second round see’s Chuck Liddell looking for the opening, but Randy Couture keeps slipping in sharp jabs making it difficult for Liddell to get through. Randy goes for a massive punch he slips and Liddell comes back with a monster right hand that knocks Randy Couture clean out. After the match Randy Couture announces his retirement from UFC fighting.  Randy has had a great career in the UFC and he is a fighter that will be missed greatly. 

Overall this DVD is well worth the £13.99, it sees some fantastic UFC action on a massive card which see’s the final match of one of UFC’s greatest fighters ever Randy Couture.
