UFC – Ultimate, Ultimate Knockouts!
Review by Gary Graham

The knockout is arguably the most exciting, definitive conclusion to any mixed martial arts bout and this with collection fans can re-live some of the most devastating moments ever seen in the Octagon.

Released on 18th February 2008, Ultimate Ultimate Knockouts showcases 36 knockouts from events spanning over 14 years of action from the Octagon, proving that UFC will always be ‘As Real As It Gets’. Witness some of the most explosive finishes from UFC greats including: Chuck “The Iceman” Liddell, David “Tank” Abbott, Anderson “The Spider” Silva, Georges “Rush” St. Pierre, Brandon Vera, Jens Pulver, B.J. Penn and the Huntington Beach Bad Boy himself, Tito Ortiz

Ultimate Ultimate Knockouts is available on DVD at all good stores from 18th February 2008 at £12.99 or online from www.fightdvd.co.uk, the premier UK site for mixed martial arts DVDs.

Review: The first I noticed is that this DVD unlike the last UFC review was not in a wide screen format and from the moment the DVD started, it looks less impressive than some of the other UFC releases I have reviewed.

The menu, clean and simple, if not a little misleading.  When the menu appeared it had three options, Play, Chapters and Ultimate Fighter.  I immediately though, ohh h this must be the padding for the DVD!  I clicked and it was only a 30 second advert for the first three series of ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ on DVD.

Pretty much a let down by anyone standards. Onto the feature presentation and it’s hosted by American TV and Radio host Kerri Kasom.  There is not exactly that much to review as this DVD does exactly what it says in the title, its 36 of the best UFC Knockouts from the last 12 years and that is pretty much it.

There are no extra’s, no easter eggs, no interviews.  All you get in this DVD is one hour of UFC knockouts. In summing up, I felt pretty much let down by this DVD release.  Surely there could have been a lot more thought put into the content and it would have been a lot more interesting if maybe there were a few interviews thrown in or in fact anything extra!  The thing is this was more of a one hour TV special, that you would normally find as as an extra on a double DVD release.

How ever if you’re a die hard fan of UFC or like the thrill of the Knockout then this is a DVD for you and one you should have in your have in your collection.

This DVD is available for Pre Order now from www.fightdvd.co.uk
