Cagerage 14 ‘Punishment’ DVD review
By Gary Graham

The latest in the Cagerage series to be released by FightDVD.  First thing I noticed about this DVD was the opening production, nice little opening sequence with some pretty good CGI in the theme of the DVD title ‘Punishment.’  The DVD is hosted by Sunderland born UFC star Ian ‘The Machine’ Freeman.  The DVD listings are in the same style as other Cagerage DVD’s with the octagon buttons and faded video playing in the background.

This is one serious loaded card and some of the matches for Cagerage fans are dream bouts with the main event being a real thriller and promises to a cracker of a bout featuring Curtis Stout, who has an amazing left hook and has knocked out all of his last 3 matches, his opponent is Anderson Silva (Cagerage Middleweight Champion) who also is an amazing stand up fighter.

This bout promises to be a battle, a brawl, real ‘punishment’ all for the Cagerage Middleweight Championship Title.

Making his Cagerage debut the UFC veteran Vitor Belfort takes on Anthony Rea from France, Rea normally likes to take his men down to the floor has decided to he wants to stand toe to toe and exchange blows.  Is the best plan of action to take against one of the hardest hitting fighters in UFC history?

There are a staggering 13 bouts on this DVD, the DVD runs for 3hours.  Many of the bouts are won and lost in the first round incase your wondering how you could fit so many bouts on one DVD.  Don’t let this put you off as even in the quick fights, the action is as hard hitting as ever.

All in all this is a sign that the production and booking of Cagerage shows are fast becoming on par with the UFC in America.  This has by far been my favourite Cagerage presentation and one I would recommend to anyone who loves MMA cagefighting.
