Round 1: Strong stand up by both fighters, lots of punches and kicks exchanged, one hell of a fast and furious round of MMA fighting.

Round 2: Another strong hard hitting round by both fighters, Griffin looks to be on top in this round.

Round 3: Griffin comes out a lot more aggressive this round, most of the round was in the clinch position, as there was no clear winner in this round the result went to the judges score cards and with a unanimous 30 – 27 the winner was Tyson Griffin.

Next we see a preview the up and coming UFC 83 pay per show.

The buzz and hype for this match has been huge over the past month and was sure to be a showdown that would bring many wrestling fans over to the world of Mixed Martial Arts and the UFC!

Round 1: Lesner straight away with a massive takedown and starts to pound the head of Mir.  The ref immediately stops the bout and takes a point from Lesner for hitting in the back of the head.  (One punch, strange no warning was given).  Lesner again as soon as the ref starts the match again attacks Mir and takes him to the mat and continues to pound the head and face of battered looking Frank Mir.  The sheer ferocity of Lesner opened a door to the more experienced Mir and enabled him to take Lenser’s leg and locks in Knee bar and forces Lesner to tap out.

This fight was over in 1min 30seconds and showed two things about the new to MMA  Brock Lesner. It showed he has the heart of a lion but also showed he does not have the experience to be so far up the Pay Per View card.  Hopefully he will re-evaluate his time in MMA and look to matches that more suit his experience and not his ego!

Round 1: Sylvia using his sheer size advantage keeps the fight to his feet and as both fighters feel each other out, Sylvia looks the more likely to make contact with his mighty bombs.  Midway through the round Sylvia catches Nogueira with a mighty right and floors him.  Sylvia as quick as a flash jumps on top and pounds the face of Nogueira opening up his left eye and Nogueira’s face starts swelling up pretty bad.  Sylvia gets up and invites a shakey Nogueira to his feet. Sylvia steadly picks his punches and Nogueira absorbs them, all the time moving in and attempting to take the giant Sylvia to the floor.

Round 2: Sylvia comes out again and picks his shots carefully.  Nogueira keeps on trying to take down Sylvia but to no avail.  He tried at least 10 times, but the man mountain of Sylvia would not be toppled.

Round 3: Again Sylvia comes out picking his punches; Nogueira again tries to take down Sylvia.  One slight opertunity opens and he takes it, sending Sylvia to the mat, Nogueira swings his body round and locks in a guillotine choke forcing Sylvia to tap out.

Overall a pretty good Pay Per View, a decent mix of styles and fighters.  I am left wondering how many wrestling fans this has caught the eye of and if bringing Brock Lesner into the UFC was a clever business decision of Dana White, even if the outcome of the fight was very predicatable….
